AutoCAD [Mac/Win] [2022-Latest] AutoCAD 2017 is the current version. History AutoCAD was released by Autodesk in 1982. Initially, AutoCAD ran only on Apple II computer systems, and was compatible only with Apple's Apple II, II Plus, IIe, IIci, and Macintosh systems. AutoCAD 2018: Design Release (late 2017) AutoCAD 2018.4 (2018R3) was released September 4, 2018. The same day as the release, Microsoft announced that the Windows 10 Creators Update would be compatible with AutoCAD for the first time. AutoCAD 2018: R16 Release (R16) (2017) AutoCAD 2018.3.1 (2018R1) was released September 12, 2017. The same day as the release, AutoCAD Mobile Connect and AutoCAD 360 were also released. Release history Customization AutoCAD provides a large degree of customization of user interface elements, such as task bars, toolbars, menu bars, and application-specific icons. In addition, the application has a large number of graphical user interface (GUI) user interface controls that can be changed by the user. These controls include toolbars, menus, dialog boxes, task panes, and screen savers. The development language is called the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), which is Microsoft's version of BASIC. VBA is used to create macros and scripts for customization. The software can be extended in a variety of ways. Some techniques are described below. It is the native format for AutoCAD versions 18 and later. You can save drawings in the native format using the Save As command, or use the Save With Native Format option in the File menu. The 3D Interface can manipulate a document in several different views, and it provides tools for working with object properties, making measurements, creating drawings, plotting curves and surfaces, and viewing 3D data. You can also manipulate objects using a set of manipulation commands, such as extrude, extrude with a bevel, and shrink-wrap. You can plot curve and surface through the Curve and Surface commands. The 3D Interface includes command-based tools for creating and editing 3D elements, including circle, polyline, arc, line, spline, and surface. You can use the GUI tools of the 3D Interface to manipulate objects, including using the Move, Rotate, Scale, and Swivel tools. You can also perform common 3D editing operations using the keyboard. The 3D Interface allows you to edit 3D elements using keyboard, mouse, and/or force commands. These tools include the Force and Shift+Force commands to scale objects, Move and Rotate commands to rotate an object about a point, Slide and Slide with Snap commands to manipulate an object along a surface, Swivel to rotate an object around an axis, Push and Pull to stretch or shrink an object, and Extrude and Extrude with Bevel to modify an object.
